AAHC Turkey Scavenger Hunt

Come join us for a holiday turkey scavenger hunt at The Pastures of Rose Creek, a picturesque 300-acre facility in the heart of Oconee County. The Pastures of Rose Creek is a family run farm offering high quality grass-fed beef and free-range eggs to the local community. They also have miles of stunning scenery best viewed from the back of a horse.

The trail ride will be 4-6 miles long, consisting of mild to moderate terrain and a water crossing. All turkeys can be spotted from horseback and captured with your phone/camera. No need to dismount unless you are truly dedicated to the scavenge.

There are two divisions: Turkey Stroll and Speed Gobbler.

Turkey Stroll: Ride un-timed at your own pace, person with the most turkeys found wins.

Speed Gobbler: Timed event. The person who finds the most turkeys in the shortest amount of time wins.

Extra credit if anyone happens to spot a live turkey along with our festive decorations.

Lunch is included in every rider’s ticket. Please respond with any dietary restrictions so we can accommodate your needs. Additional lunches are available for $10 per lunch.

No dogs please. Helmets are required for all AAHC events with horses.

Can’t ride but want to come hang out and help? We would LOVE to have a few Volunteers between 8AM-3PM on the day of the event. If you have a couple of free hours, come hang out, help out, and enjoy lunch with us! Purchase a lunch ticket below.
