The Inaugural RCRS Meet

Location: 269 Indian Creek Rd, Hoschton (Use Google Maps – Apple Maps will take you to a subdivision!)
Date: Saturday, May 2, 2026
Trails Open: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Gate Open: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM

WEATHER UPDATE: After careful consideration, and checking weather apps, we have decided THE RIDE WILL PROCEED TOMORROW. Weather modeling shows that we will get 1/4″ to 1/2″ rain. With the rain largely stopping by 8am and a slight chance of drizzling until 10am. We talked to our stewards, who know the trails well. They agreed that the trails would not be too muddy to proceed.

About the Ride

Join us as we make history with the first official fixture of the Red Clay Riding Society. This inaugural ride is a celebration of over a decade of community-building and our collective commitment to land conservation.

We are honored to begin our pilot season at Historic Indian Creek Farm, a property that exemplifies the beauty and heritage of Northeast Georgia. AAHC Members are invited to explore rolling pastures, shaded timber, and the iconic red clay paths that give our Society its name.

Learn more about Red Clay Riding Society.
Read our Rules and Etiquette Charter. You will have to sign this prior to riding or volunteering.

Ride Format – Fellowship & “Open Gate”:

To maintain the relaxed, small-group atmosphere we value, the Gate & Trails Open at 9:00 AM. You are welcome to arrive at your convenience, saddle up, and ride out with your preferred partners.

  • Trails Close at 1:00 PM: In respect for our landowners and to ensure rider safety, all horses and riders must be back at the trailers no later than 1:00 PM. If needed, our Stewards will conduct a final safety sweep of the property at this time.

  • The Tailgate Social: Once the horses are settled, join us for a “Tailgate Lunch.” Bring your own lunch, a cold drink, and a camp chair. This is our time to foster the trust and “small group” fellowship that defines RCRS.

  • Departure: All trailers should be off the property by 2:30 PM.
