Invasive Plant Removal – Heritage Park
October 27 @ 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM EDT
Volunteers are needed to help remove Autumn Olive, a non-native invasive shrub that has become a significant problem at Heritage Park. Removing invasive plants helps protect native vegetation and improve the park’s trails and surrounding areas.
Join us for an Autumn Olive removal workday before the Heritage Park trails close for construction.
Date: October 27
Time: 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
Work usually wraps up around noon, followed by a walk back to the cars.
Everything needed for the work will be provided. Volunteers just need to bring drinking water.
Whether you can stay for the full workday or help for a few hours, your time can make a difference. Come out, and help take care of Heritage Park before construction begins November 1st.
